The Water Plant has resumed operations and is fully functioning.
The Town is no longer utilizing water from Delray Beach. Anyone using kidney

their water.
Town water may be discolored for a few hours, until the Delray Beach water has moved
through the system.
Should you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact
the Water Plant at 561-243-2084.

Town of Highland Beach – Water Pipe Break
Due to a water pipe flange leak, we will temporarily be using water from Delray Beach
that will have added ammonia for disinfection purposes. Anyone using kidney dialysis
or treating water for tropical fish should change treatment accordingly.
Water remains potable. We will continue to keep you updated as information becomes
available.
Should you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact

Comment by Mary Kate Leming on June 30, 2011 at 12:30pm Safety Council of Palm Beach County, Inc. Issues Fourth of July Safety Tips
An estimated 400 people are expected to die on our nation’s highways this Fourth of July holiday, according to the Safety Council of Palm Beach County, Inc. This holiday is not only one of the most dangerous driving weekends of the year, but the day’s cookout activities also create a safety risk.
“Our Independence Day is a great reason for celebration, but we all need to remember the threat this holiday represents to personal safety,” said Toni Burrows, Executive Vice President for the CouncilWe want everyone to have fun, but we want them to be safe too.”
The Safety Council issues these Fourth of July Safety Reminders:
Holiday Traffic Safety
q Drivers who turn with a wide radius.
q Drivers at speeds 10 miles below the speed limit or speeding excessively.
q Drivers who are following too closely.
q Drivers who have a slow response to traffic signals.
Outdoor Grill Safety
Firework Safety
