Treasures4Charity: Fundraiser in Delray

Ocean Ridge: Town commissioners discuss timing of public comment



Exactly when should the public speak at town meetings? It’s a question that cropped up as newly elected Ocean Ridge commissioners took their places on the dais in April. The immediate answer: the status quo.

Ocean Ridge: ‘Bonus’ a bone of contention in tight budget times

The word “bonus” has more than once set off debate among Ocean Ridge commissioners — and the latest round ended with a vow to consider defining and cutting back on the traditional retirement bonus here.

Memorial Ride

Obituary: Milton Stanley Holz

BOCA RATON — Milton Stanley Holz of Boca Raton died April 2. He was 88 years old.

Born in Jersey City, N.J., in 1922, Mr. Holz attended New York University and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married his beloved wife, Shirley, in 1946. The couple was married for 65 years. 

He was a remarkably humble man, according to his son, Dr. Bruce Holz of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea.

Boca Raton: Food trucks are rolling into Boomers

The mobile food mania — read that: food trucks — have hit South Florida, but oddly, have missed making a mark in Palm Beach County. 

Internet marketer Jochen Esser is out to change that. 

He’s sponsoring a Gourmet Food Truck Expo in Boca Raton at Boomers beginning at 6 p.m. on May 11,  just in time for dinner.

Boca Raton/Highland Beach: Real estate sales perking up along the shore

John G's moving to Manalapan
